Student Support Services Program
The Student Support Services Program (SSSP) is a federally funded TRiO program providing ongoing support throughout a WSC student’s college career. SSSP offers program participants free, comprehensive academic and counseling support designed to assist with persistence to graduation and preparation for graduate or professional school.

All SSSP participants are assigned to a program coordinator to determine their learning strengths and challenges and devise an Academic Success Plan outlining the most appropriate assistance. Students can become a program participant at any point in their undergraduate program and remain in SSSP until graduation.

Program Highlights 2008-2009

  • 91% of first-year program students successfully completed their first academic year
  • $35,000 of grant aid was given to program students in the form of scholarships
