Step 1:   Launch a supported web browser such as Internet Explorer, Safari, or Mozilla.

Step 2:   In the URL address bar:

*        On campus type: plato

*        Off campus type: plato.wsc.ma.edu

Then click GO to retrieve the page typed in the URL address bar

Now click on the PLATO "LOG IN" icon.

Step 3:   The page that you should see next is the Plato Login page with login fields as shown below.  Your VISTA username is your first initial of your first name, your last name and your last four digits of your College Wide I.D (CWID) all lowercase.  Your password is simply your CWID beginning with the capital A.  See example below:

Step 4:   If you are logging in for the first time, the system will prompt you to change your password.  Your new password must be a minimum of six characters. When you have completed the required fields indicated, click "Save".  The system will log you out, and you will have to log back in with your new password.

Step 5:   Once you log back in, it is recommended that you run a browser check on your computer (see red arrow below). The purpose of the browser check tune-up is to be sure that the software works well on your computer. Click on Browser Check and follow additional instructions.

Step 6:   Once you have done a browser check, if you find that you are having Java issues, you can go to www.wsc.ma.edu/plato/java for instructions on fixing this issue.

Step 7:   After completing all steps, log back in and from "My PLATO" homepage you can get into your preferred course. Locate your course under "Course List" and click on the class.
