Step 1: Launch a supported web browser such as Internet Explorer, Safari, or Mozilla.
Step 2: In the URL address bar, if you are:
- On Campus, Type: Plato
- Off Campus, Type: plato.wsc.ma.edu
Then click GO to retrieve the page typed in the URL address bar.
Now click on the "Login to PLATO" icon.
- Note: Be sure to scroll down to check for any announcements or notices.
Step 3: Once you click the plato log in button, this will direct you to the PLATO login screen as shown below.
Your PLATO ID and Password are initially the same. All lower case beginning with your first initial, then last name and the last four digits of your college wide I.D. "CWID".

If you are logged on to this page for the first time, you will be prompted to change your password. Your new password must be minimum of six characters. When done completing the required fields indicated,
click "OK".
Step 5: After you have completed the previous step, you will be asked to log in again using your new password. Repeat previous steps mentioned until you have reached the Vista Login page. Once you are there, login again using your new password.
When logged back in, you should be the "My PLATO" homepage.
NOTE: In the future, if you would like to change your password to something different, click on the "My Settings" tab on the top right side of your "My PLATO" homepage and then click the "change password" button. A password setting window will then open. Do as instructed.
After logging in, it is recommended that you run a browser check on your computer as shown below. The purpose of the browser check tune-up is to be sure that the software works well on your computer. Click on Browser Check on the top right of your "my plato" screen and follow additional instructions.
Step 6: Now that you are in the "My PLATO" Homepage. To get into your preferred course, locate your course under "Courses" and click on it.
Step 7: Congratulations! You made it to the homepage of your Course. You may now begin your course. Follow additional instructions on your homepage. Good Luck!
