The Historical Journal of Massachusetts is a publication dedicated to disseminating the fascinating and important history of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. From the first settlements of the Pilgrims and Puritans to recent years, the events of the history of Massachusetts have been the focus of tremendous amounts of study. The study of this history has not only told the story of the historical development of the Commonwealth, but in many significant ways, that of the entire United States.
