to spark interest in students that are generally interested in and enjoy mathematics. This page is
broken down into several categories, which are listed below.
Most people have a limited knowledge of the range of careers in mathematics.
In fact, there are many interesting and unique jobs pertaining to the field of mathematics. Below is a list of major areas where mathematical professions are common. When
you click on a heading, you will be brought to a web page containing a description of how
mathematics is involved in the field. There will also be a list of sources where you can find
informational career descriptions.

website discusses the differences between pure and applied mathematics, and also gives advice on
how to find a career in mathematics. It also includes helpful links to other resource sites.
