FINANCIAL AID
Financing Your Education at Westfield State College
Careful financial planning and knowledge of the financial aid process and polices are essential for you and your family to prepare for and meet the cost of your college education. We have outlined the various types of financial aid programs at WSC which include grants/waivers, federal work study programs and loans. Details of our billing cycle, costs, yearly application process and deadlines are outlined for your successful participation in the wide variety of financial aid programs offered at Westfield State College.
Financial aid is available at colleges and universities in order to supplement student and family resources that are insufficient to meet the costs of a college education. The primary responsibility for financing your education rests with you and your family, but most colleges offer a variety of financial aid programs for qualified students and their families to consider. At Westfield State College, the financial aid staff will assist you throughout the application process and provide you with the most current information available on its many financial aid programs.
New students should bear in mind that the financial aid application is independent from the admission application process; Westfield State College has a need-blind admission policy. Please complete the financial aid and admission application processes separately, following each individual set of guidelines, requirements, and deadlines.
