Dr. Curt Robie is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the department sections listed below, while working with Senior Staff of the college to insure that we maintain the physical infrastructure necessary to successfully carry out its mission.

The support staff coordinates and controls the many duties necessary to keep information flowing through the department. Routinely, staff efforts are required in the finance, payroll, work order, accounting (accounts payable), vendor control, vehicle control, record keeping areas, as well as a host of special projects.

Our Trades Departments

Consists of Carpenters, Painters, Plumbers, Electricians, Locksmith, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) staff. These departments complete the large majority of our in-house generated Work Orders. They also perform routine preventive maintenance and periodic testing of safety systems throughout the campus, and on occasion, will undertake projects (significant upgrades or repairs) in place of outside contractors.

Our Grounds Department

This department is responsible for the appearance of the exterior of the campus, including lawn care, trash removal, plant selection, maintenance and upgrades. In addition, the Grounds Department is responsible for snow removal for all campus roads, parking areas and sidewalks. Finally, they maintain all fleet vehicles used by the college. This department is headed by Don Willey  (Ext. 5284)

The Environmental Services Department

This department consists of Maintainers who perform daily cleaning and light maintenance inside all campus buildings. In addition, this staff performs all conference set-ups and break downs, performs snow and ice removal around the perimeter of the buildings, and light routine maintenance inside the buildings. This department also assists with staff moves, the recycling program and performs project cleaning during building vacancy periods. They also assist in the coordination of special projects such as flooring replacements.

Power Plant

By means of steam boilers, the Power Plant is the central heating, hot water and electrical distribution center on campus. Infrastructure has been created to distribute these utilities to each building where the Trades department insures that they are available for the comfort and use of students and staff. The Power Plant is staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. George Sicard manages this department  (Ext. 5282)

Mail Room
The Mailroom (572-5248) is located in the basement of Parenzo Hall. Mail is picked up daily from the Westfield Post Office and processed for distribution. Student mail is delivered to each Residence Hall for further distribution by Residential Life. Faculty and Staff receive their mail via assigned mailboxes at the mail room. Packages are delivered via a card notification system. Bulk mail services are also available for 200 pieces or more. Fax services are available to all college employees for college business. The mailroom is staffed  between 8:00a.m. and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Copy / Print Center
The Copy Center (572-5247) located in the basement of Parenzo Hall provides reprographic services to the faculty and staff (with proper Banner charge accounts). Services include duplications of documents and booklets; binding; black and white or color copying; and production of notices and posters. The area is open between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Central Receiving
Central Receiving (572-5249) is also located in the basement of Parenzo Hall. This area receives and delivers supplies and packages for the campus community daily. They store and distribute paper (copy paper and forms) and Housekeeping supplies. Employees work closely with Inventory Control related to relocation of surplus equipment. This area is also staffed with 3 employees plus student support.
