The Department of Movement Science, Sport and Leisure Studies at Westfield State College offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine. The Sports Medicine concentration is a pre-professional preparation option which completes requirements for a movement science major. However, further study will be necessary in order to obtain credentialing in an allied health profession.
Graduates with a Movement Science Degree concentrating in Sports Medicine choose to attend graduate school to study fields relating to Sports Medicine such as: physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician’s assistant, medical doctor, nursing massage therapy.
