Westfield 5 – MCLA 3

NORTH ADAMS – The Westfield State women’s soccer team held on for a 5-3 victory over MCLA on Oct. 18.

Westfield is 4-8 overall and 1-3 in the conference. MCLA dropped to 3-9-1 and 0-4.

The Owls took a 3-0 in the opening 19 minutes on goals by Janelle LaRose, Erin Lowney and Katie Kissel. MCLA scored twice late in the first and tied the score 12 minutes into the second half.

Westfield freshman Jess Coleman scored the game-winning goal in the 59^th minute. Junior Kate McMillan added an insurance goal in the 65^th minute.
