Westfield State 4 Ð Worcester State 1

 

WESTFIELD Ð Sophomore forward Megan Wolski (Plymouth) had two goals and two assists to lead Westfield State to another convincing victory Ð a 4-1 decision over Worcester State on Oct. 8.

 

The Owls, who have scored 24 goals in their last five games, improved to 5-6 overall and 5-2 in the conference. Westfield has won five of its last seven games after an 0-4 start.

 

Freshman Kara Guittar (Dedham) opened the scoring on a penaltycorner with assists from Wolski and Shanna Litterst. Litterst scored the second goal, with an assist from Wolski. The Owls took a 3-0 halftime lead on a goal from Wolski.

 

Worcester State scored in the opening minute of the second half then Westfield completed the score with a goal by Wolski.

 

Litterst finished with a goal and two assists and Guittar had a goal and an assist.

 

Westfield senior goalie Cat Hanks made 10 saves.
