Information on Westfield State's downtown plans available Wednesday

Members of the media are invited to a press conference by Westfield State College and Westfield city officials at noon Wednesday, Oct. 15, on the front steps of the downtown Washington Street building, 27 Washington St.

Westfield State College President Evan S. Dobelle and Westfield Mayor Michael R. Boulanger will introduce representatives from William Rawn Associates, architects conducting a study of downtown Westfield for the incorporation of Westfield State functions or potential facilities.

Gideon Lester of the American Repertory Theatre is also scheduled at the event to discuss possibilities of a downtown performance arts facility.
