'Dancing with the Professors' to raise funds for Haiti at Westfield State

Danciing with the Professors, one of several fundraising efforts at Westfield State College for Haiti earthquake victims, pairs faculty and administration volunteers with students who will teach them dance routines to perform together. The event, open to the public, is 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, in Dever Auditorium.

Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society for Education, organized the event. The Westfield State College Dance Team and Dance Club also will perform. Admission to the event is $2 or a pair of new pajamas for children or teens. The evening also includes a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle.

Student organizer Ashley Porter said the event is intended as a light-hearted evening that will benefit a serious cause.
