There are more than 60 active recreational, social, academic and/or athletic Clubs and organizations at Westfield State College helping students to participate in the life of the College outside-the-classroom. Clubs and organizations accommodate a wide variety of interests. Students are encouraged to join Clubs to enrich their experience at college. This Club will expose students to cultural and academic events within and outside of their academic fields thus helping to give students a well-rounded educational experience. The Fine Arts Festival Club is responsible for sponsoring, organizing and promoting the annual Student Art Exhibition which takes place in May. This exhibition is open to all Westfield State College students.

Gay Straight Alliance
PRIDE is the name of the GLBSA Club at Westfield State College. The most crucial purpose of the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual and Straight Alliance is to provide support for homosexuals and their allies, relatives and friends. The Club encourages awareness on campus, as well as deals with discrimination against homosexuals. The Club provides social activities that will be open to the campus as well as weekly meetings that are for the purpose of organization and discussion.

General Science Club

The primary purpose of the General Science Club is to organize activities for its members and to educate the Westfield community on science related topics. Those activities will focus on, but are not limited to, the invitation of guest speakers to the campus, various student-lead presentations given to younger students throughout the community, trips to science related locations, and activities which will allow the members to establish bonds with others who hold common interests.

Ice Hockey

The Westfield State Hockey Program has been around for many years. Currently, the program is not considered a varsity sport; however, it is highly competitive. The program is open to any and all students and is under the auspices of the Student Government Association. The team currently plays in conference B of the NorthEast Collegiate Hockey Association (HECHA) and is a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). Games are played at Amelia Park Ice Arena, less than three miles from the campus.

The IR Club is one of the most active academic clubs on campus. Members take two classes (International Relations and Comparative Foreign Policy) and, parallel to this, do independent research on given international political issues to prepare for debate in the Model United Nations Conferences.
