There are more than 70 active recreational, social, academic and/or athletic Clubs and organizations at Westfield State College helping students to participate in the life of the College outside-the-classroom. PRIDE is the name of the GLBSA Club at Westfield State College. The most crucial purpose of the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual and Straight Alliance is to provide support for homosexuals and their allies, relatives and friends. The Club encourages awareness on campus, as well as deals with discrimination against homosexuals. The Club provides social activities that will be open to the campus as well as weekly meetings that are for the purpose of organization and discussion.

The Westfield State Hockey Program has been around for many years.  The highly competitive program is open to any and all students and is under the auspices of the Student Government Association. The team currently plays in conference B of the Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association (HECHA) and is a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). Games are played at Amelia Park Ice Arena, less than three miles from the campus.
