The most crucial purpose of the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual and Straight Alliance is to provide support for homosexuals and their allies, relatives and friends. The Westfield State Hockey Program has been around for many years.  The highly competitive program is open to any and all students and is under the auspices of the Student Government Association. The team currently plays in conference B of the Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association (HECHA) and is a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). Games are played at Amelia Park Ice Arena, less than three miles from the campus.
