Since it's opening in 1971, the Ely Campus Center (then known as the Student Union) has become a common meeting place on campus.  Open seven days a week, the Campus Center provides for the services, conveniences and amenities of the campus community.

The Ely Campus Center is a community center for all members of the College family  -  students, faculty/staff, alumni and guests. It's not just a building; it's also an assortment of College departments and campus activity programs. Together, they represent a well-considered plan for community life at Westfield State College.

Along with the College Library, the Campus Center houses the Arno Maris Art Gallery, Bookstore, the Communications Department, the English Theater Arts Program, and several Student Affairs Division offices. The Campus Center is also home to the Student Government Association and all recognized student organizations including The Campus Voice student newspaper and the student radio station, WSKB, 89.5FM.

Campus Center hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8AM - 12AM, Saturday 10 AM - 12 AM and Sunday 12PM-12AM during the fall and spring semester when classes are in-session.
