“Gifts of Winter,” an exhibit of fiber art and acrylic collage painting offers one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art at the Westfield State College Downtown Art Gallery, 105 Elm St., Westfield from Dec. 10 – 30.  A free public reception for the artists is scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10.  All work on exhibit is for sale.

The works include acrylic collage paintings by Gerry Wise of the Westfield State College art faculty. Fiber art is provided by various artists who exhibit at Sheepgate, a Blandford gallery and boutique of hand-created work operated by Maureen Costello. This includes hand-woven fabrics and originally designed fabric and sheepskin pieces.

 The gallery is open 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 2 to 7 p.m. Thursdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays. The gallery is closed on Dec. 24 and 25. For more information, contact gallery curator Faith Lund at flund@wsc.ma.edu.
